FAQ

How do you work with teams?

Depends on the tier. Advisory is light: 2 monthly calls and async Slack on hard decisions. On Fractional CTO: regular Slack presence, weekly architecture and engineering reviews, a standing 1-on-1 with you. From week one I'm making real technical calls and getting the team moving.

What's the typical engagement length?

We usually start with 4-6 weeks. Enough to ship one real outcome, a senior hire, an architecture decision, a working AI feature, and decide whether to keep going. Most then continue as an ongoing engagement, scaling up or down as the work changes.

What if our team lacks AI expertise? Do we need to hire AI specialists?

Don't hire AI specialists yet. Start with the team you have. We pick 1-2 AI tools or features that fit current workflows and ship them. The team learns by doing, not in workshops. Hiring an AI specialist comes later, after you know which role you actually need.

Why fractional CTO vs hiring full-time?

Hiring a full-time CTO takes 3-6 months and €200K+ a year. With me you have a CTO starting next week, scaled to what you actually need now. When the role grows past fractional, I help you hire the full-time replacement and hand off.

Do I need to commit long-term?

No. Month-to-month, cancel anytime. Start in one tier, move up or down as the work changes. The job is to make myself less necessary, not lock you in.

What if we already have a VP of Engineering?

I work with your VP, not over them. Your VP owns the team and execution. I cover the parts they are seeing for the first time: AI in production, scaling architecture, board-level technical conversations. Think senior peer they can call when stuck, plus a translator between engineering and the rest of the business.
